Are y'all getting slammed by these big wind storms? Not sure what y'all think, but 30+mph winds are not fun. The wind was bad enough again today, we had to shut down our well site for the afternoon.

I think I've seen those guys out riding. Saw as in they went shooting past in a blur as I waddled along. They were nice enough to wave.

Dunno but they seem to have overcome the strong attraction between the 9x0 Adv and Earth.

Does anyone know a good fabricator? I am looking for someone with experience with buggies, or something along those lines. We need a winch bumper made for a truck that nobody makes anything for.
And it can't look like poo. So I can't make it.
Preferably someone with time to make it. I have gotten recomendations before from people and when I contact someone, they always say something like "let me call you back when I am not building a race chassis, or a trailer for my best sister in laws cousin, or this thing for my buddy..."
I clearly don't have any friends in the fabrication field, but I have money, and it's got to be worth something.

Don't recognize any bikes or people. I don't think they realize they are Utards.

Harcus has skills. I don't know if he works in that size tubing. Maybe PM him.

Still dealing with my 6.0 powerstroke issues in the 04 box truck - I'm replacing (what I hope is) a bent pushrod. Assuming all the mechanical problems are finally ironed out (this will be the last of it) then next month I start on a bumper for the box truck for a 12K winch I have lying around. I've done a few of them in the past..

You'd be welcome to join us or maybe we could do two at the time, depending on what it is. Same deal, not a lot of winch bumpers for a Ford van (especailly because they came in 2WD), or they are stupid expensive. Friend who will be helping me has a shop in Heber and could do it too on his own if you didn't want to be involved. My little shop is in Park City...

Here is one I did on my old FJ55 Land cruiser with a Cummins in it. They can be very simple...

Here is the box truck. Getting a 2" lift and a winch bumper out of 4" strap steel. Basically a big adventure camper. Staying 2WD, getting a limited slip. the winch is if it gets stuck in sand etc / cheap insurance - we won't take it on too many super rough roads but definitely some rural areas. Wife is a huge fan of this, unlike the motos... 2 motos fit in the back behind the bed when it's folded up, though...

I will be fairly well interested if I can't find a shop to make one by then.
My E350 is now for sale, as we are in full build mode on the UGLYNV.
Can't fit as much in the back, but it's so much newer that it must translate into more care free miles. Hopefully.
We would use a winch similarly. There are no lockers available for the axle in the NV, yet. Might never be, which would be a real bummer. There is hope for swapping in a D60 or sterling, or some other huge thing if I could get the tone rings onto it. Then it could have an ARB like a real truck ought to.
