Renn, are you racing Cherry Creek this Saturday? It should be fun. Last I have heard Michelle is racing in some new, more appropriate outfit.

I think the best thing for dumbgirl is if you make her wear a skirt and bra so everyone knows its a chick. Then a excuse my riding I'm a girl sign on her back. That way the skirt is taken so I don't have to wear it.

Avon to Liberty is passable. Infact, there wasn't a snow drift to be found. The dirt was dry as could be. I bet I could have been ride'n the route a mounth ago.

If the group doing the PET ride this weekend ends up not going, how about we get together for some northern UT riding?

AVON: in!
I'll go ride N. UT on Sat! It looks like there's plenty o' side routes off the Lib2Avon road, so i'll bring the topo's for that area if a ride is on.

Theres a couple of roads the take you west. One hits Mantua Canyon, and the othe dops you into Mantua. There both kinda rough going, you'll for sure find the snow line on the first one and the second (going to Mantua) crosses a field (that may or may not be private) that will be very very soggy right now.
On the east side is alot of priviate land that you really dont want to be getting lost in. For a good ride I would recomend you ride into Hyrum, up Blacksmith fork and then Ant Flat back to the Monta Cristo road.

Where/when you guys taking off. I'm in Clinton and was thinking about going up Ogden Canyon to Liberty, then heading "over the hill" toward Logan. If I don't stay out too late tonight I might like to go.

Is anyone up for sunday? I'm racing sat but just got the suspenders back from superplush so I want to give the big bike a good flogging.
So a sunday ride is in order. I'm up for anything anywhere. No not that anything or anywhere, Pluric and Infidel.

Got a Good Utah ride in today with MaverickChick
We did a short route around the Great Salt lake, a little more asphalt than dirt but a rockin ride. 290 Miles, 9am start time and finished around 5pm due to the traffic on 2100S and the Friday rush hour THANG.
Mav rode the DRz SM(with the street tires), and was running circles around the KLR. We had some wind pushing us around when we passed Delle. All roads were dry, with just a little washboard. Most of the gravel roads where graded well, and we snagged 20 miles of double track. Mav really didn't want to scratch her Z so we didn't run up and over any of the mountain ranges that were near by. We brought the DEET, but never used it, and the temps were perfect. The heat will be on this weekend. Here are a few quick pics, and a very short video clip of the z. ![]() ![]() |
