ALL BIKES WELCOME, BMW of Salt Lake Shop Ride 8/23/2009
Einsteins Wasatch and 39th depart @ 9:00 am. For you guys to the East meet @ Sinclair 9:30 ish Kamas. Wolf creek pass (we can do b-fast or brunch @ Defa's or Hanna). If you are on a street bike you might want to do a us 40 loop or Duchesne to Indian canyon (191) or back over wolf creek. The dual sport riders will ride up West fork of the duchesne and back to the top of wolf creek on Duchesne Ridge. (if you don't have the time you could ride out the mill hollow res. road). This is a fun ride with great scenery. Bring water and snacks, and a little money for food.
Hope to see you there. Renn BMW Motorcycles of Salt Lake 801-936-4600 |

I have a klr 650 that gets a bit top heavy with the full 5.2 gallons it holds and I would rather not carry around extra gas over technical stuff. How many miles is the strawberry ridge ride you have in mind?

In fact, All you Wasatch Front FnFs, why don't we just plan a ride for that weekend? We could leave Friday afternoon/evening, I know some fun slab to take there, then ride some kick-ass trails led by Ryman on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Anyone else interested? |

I'll carry a spare tank on your KLR if you want to ride my V-Strom dry to keep it from being "top heavy" on the technical stuff....Giskev, I'll try to be there, if I make it, I'll send you a text before I take off from my place.

No texty... got no cell phone...
KLR650 will eat these roads. V-Strom will happily survive them. XR650R will kill (me & dan) XR400 is the weapon of choice (but the wifey poo gets it) No Interstate except a couple miles to get from the bagel shop to BCC (5miles?) then 20 miles of single lane twisties and 100+ of dirt. normal gas tanks are ok, but my side have desert tanks, so if we need to milk the pig for some reason, no biggie. fuel should be fine, but we'll top off. 9am then

![]() It looks like we will have to cross the bike race route between deer creek and walsburg. Hopefully they don't give us any grief, but if they do I'll drive over their weak road bike frame with my klr and laugh will they cry in their silly latex outfit. It is going to be REALLY ( 101 for SLC valley ) hot tomorrow; hydrate or become one with the dust.

? bike race ? crap. I'll bring a map and we'll reroute as needed. I'll be carrying 3 liters of cold gatorade in a camelback with tools and a snack. I wanna ride the V-Strom!
