Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing. We know he beat the trophy trucks, but what was his final position? 10th?

Awaiting details....

We both finished. I passed Commander51 nursing a rear flat 40 miles from the finish. But he kept going and made it. It was a lot of fun but me and the bike need some rest and repair.

Still looking for victims for a Labor day ride in the Basin. We could leave Friday afternoon or evening, slab to Vernal, or try and find dirt roads all the way if we have the time, then spend the next few days camping and riding.

Last chance to ride stuff like this:

And stuff like this:

And stuff like this:

And even stuff like this, all in a single weekend:

We could let the weather determine where we camp, if it's cool, we camp in the desert. If it's jungle hot, we camp on the mountain. If it's raining, we camp in my parent's back yard

Anyone interested??

The ride today was quite possibly the most fun I've ever been on. Vanguard was on his KTM 625, his brother on a Honda 450, and I on my Suzuki 650. We trailered up to the Hardware Ranch parking lot, then took off up the Rock Creek. We took a break at Sawmill Spring just as it started raining. By the time we reached the top of Red Spur Moutain, it was a gully-washer downpour that nearly made it impossible to see.

At that point, there was some concern as to if the smaller of the bikes had enough fuel and we were all soaked to the core, so we took a quick vote while huddled beneath a tree and decided to push on in to Randolph. We dodged a myriad of cattle along the road and made it to town just as the rain finished backing off. We stopped at a little Sinclair gas station, bought them out of warm food and hot coffee, and sat for a while just filling up and drying off. I think we left some nasty mud puddles in the store, but we tried to not be messy. After we were full, we fuled up and returned back Westbound.

The sun came out, and we felt less cold on the return trip so we kept on going to Bug Lake, through Strawberry Valley, and back down to Hardware Ranch again. The water puddles were aplenty, but at least teh water wasn't running down the road anymore.

Yogoi, we looked for you, but alas, to no success.

The three of us agree we shall soon be there again, to try the numerous roads we didn't have time to cover today. 75 miles of dirt, a top speed of just over 52 mph, a moving average speed of 26 mph,the dust was minor to non-existent, and nobody wrecked. A perfect day I think.

Yeah, yeah, we should have got pictures but we were having too much fun to stop and pose.

Wicked Paiute Trail next weekend

Weather dependent... if it's rainy we'll push it a week back. leave Thurs evening, ride Fri/Sat/Sun come home Sun evening... camping where ever we end up.

The Paiute trail is about a 250 mile loop with much diversity, average about 9000 ft... You can ride into town along the way to get gas.

We'll trailer down to Salina...

Did a fun, 150 mile loop up Chalk Creek road to Mirror Lake Highway via Whitney Reservoir on Saturday, interrupted by ten penny nail above Evanston:

Miles of fun roads and trails...

I'm gonna be real sorry to see this summer end.
