Highway 35 from Kamas to Tabiona is a nice piece of slab. I am going to Vernal this afternoon and will be in the area all weekend. If you want a riding partnah and can leave today, give me a call.

Ryman is going to lead some rides around the area this weekend if you want to join.

Lastly, if you plan to camp, I can give you some recommendations or you can throw down your tent in my parent's back yard, have access to toilet and shower, and join us for BBQs.

Welcome traeden.

Wow, what a generous brother you have.

Stupid car driver fing with your bike. If everyone road a motorcycle the roads would be less crowded we would be less dependent on foreign oil.

Alright, from what I understand the old BMWs like the one you have were VERY popular with the Air Force guys back in the day. I've been told some of the best old school BMW mechanics can be found around Hill Air Force base, not on the actual base just in the area. Now, how do you find them. Well, you might start by looking for moto mechanic shops around hill air force base.

Good luck and if you catch the d-bag that messed w/ your bike we would all gladly take turns whipping him like this:

You were right on half of that...Pluric is an old fart.....I, on the other hand, am mature!

Also, as noted else where, Ron & Jeff at Motorcycle R n R are quite good on the old Beemers. Definitely recommended!

I found an all-dirt route from Mirror Lake Highway, across the North Slope of the Uintas, ending at Sheep Creek Geological loop near Flaming gorge.

The route is mixed easy hard pack, 4WD roads, and some beautiful roads through the quakies.

It took me 5 hours and was 160 miles between gas. Most big bikes should be able to make it. I will post some pics tomorrow.

Ryman - your message was cut off, please call again on Saturday morning.

I did this route a week ago and it was a lot of fun. Great scenery and some interesting history along the way.

Well, I'm not riding this weekend. I might not ride until the end of the year....

I may have sold my bike. Now...I'll let y'all have a brawl in convincing me to buy whatever bike you want to test ride while trying to make me believe you're really just telling me what bike suits my needs best.

Seems like a 690 R is in my near future.....

North Slope of the Uintas

I left Friday at 3PM loaded for bear. Goal was to find an off-road route across the Uintas to Flaming Gorge.

I didn't have much time. Shiny new tires!

More later.

I rode Hwy 150 past Xmas meadows, then took FR 058 headed East. I believe the signs say Elizabeth Mountain Pass. Pretty fast, easy hardpacked dirt road until I reached the summit.

Lots of roads like this:

As you can see, the shadows were getting long, I was nowhere near halfway, and I still didn't even know if I could make it all the way across.

Lots of pretty meadows, but not many pictures as I was running low on time.

Getting darker
