Pack sleeping bag, tent, sleeping pad, down jacket via side zipper.

Zip up the hot dog.

Ride away. You just got bonus points with the wife for saving a bunch of cash. Those bonus points can be cashed in for an extra day riding.
Trackhead. This is totally awsome. Can I have the other leg?

I've done Baxter 3 times, nice ride to get to Grand Jct. for a microbrew. Weather permitting it's a real motherf$#@#$ when wet, I did 20 miles of rutted mud into Loma sideway's.

Sounds good! I'll PM you with an email address that you can send GPX to. I can get up early, and ride some slab, but my XR burn oil at 90MPH, so i like to keep 'er around 70...

A nice route to get to the North Slope (Bear River Area) is Coalville to Whitney Reservoir, refuel (85 octane) at Bear River Lodge. There are twisties to Coalville as you all know.

I can get up early... maybe i'd put coffee in my Camel Back...

Hick, can we get a waypoint where the bridge is out?...

Your Xr burns oil at 90?! Is that why you ride at 100MPH?

Cool. Not that it matters much, but we stopped at Bear River Station a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure they sell only premium (Daniel Summit, too).

Anyway, I'll keep planning a possible alternate in the mountains between Cokeville and Big Piney Wy, and we can decide later.

Anyone know if the Soldier Summit Tesoro station is currently in business and selling fuel?

If anyone is interested. I have a thought about doing Baxter via Southam Canyon and Rainbow rather than going straight down Dragon. It's very scenic although a little out of the way.

Discuss

You other women are to puss to come to BFE and ride with some hard guys!

Tesoro at Soldier Summit

I drove past there a couple of weeks back and it was in business then.

I think you may be able to pull a Dukes of Hazzard over this bridge...given enough speed and liquor.

If not, there is an OHV trail on the West side of the creek that leads into the creek - about 30 yards south of the bridge. That is where I crossed, and that is where I will be crossing again on Friday.

we always thought you were just hiding out there so you wouldn't have any competition!

I can't wait for the tour though Ry, but this weekend's going to have to be more riding than slabbing/trailering for me! maybe when i get a 3 day weekend!

If anyone is "really" interested in having "others" participate, it would be nice to talk in plain English and perhaps show a map or two. Minor details like time and places to meet, would heaven forbid be above and beyond the call of duty.
