Does this mean you're done posting pics of the boat and rhino and quads?

Anyone ever done the route from Vernal to Green River, following the remote rode that follows the east side/shore of the river as you near Green River?

If you head north out of Green River, following the east bank of the river, there appears to be a 'road' that follows the east bank very closely for a long ways before you have to leave the river bank and be out more east.

Haven't ridden it, but am interested in trying. I've been south from Vernal to just past Bonanza, but haven't continued further. In looking at the maps, I see a lot of Indian reservation land that sits east of the Green River. That might want to be avoided. 2 of the 4 in our riding group found out the hard way what happens when you travel on BIA land without permission (fortunately, they just got warnings. A real ticket with a fine is the norm). The road does not need to be properly posted in anyway.

The north-south routing looks easier the closer you stay to Colorado. Keep us updated on your findings.

I've had similar dealings on the Navajo Reservation when going down various slot canyons without an official "guide". No fines, just warnings.

Ask for forgiveness, not permission perhaps.

From Google Earth.

Looks like the road goes to the Nefertiti boat launch, and then continues north to the reservation? Does that sound like the one? I've got a contact @ Green River state park. Maybe he can help me with an answer on this one.

Yeah, something like that anyway.

I might just go ride it in a couple weeks.

A bunch of these roads are disjointed and discontinuous, but I'd love to be proven wrong. I wouldn't worry to much about the injuns. Just carry some listerine and wonder bread as a peace offering.

The super highway dirt road through the area is seep ridge, heading south out of ouray.... more near the colorado border. There has got to be some more interesting lines. I've been eyeing one that follows the bottom of bitter creek wash after the road leaves the bottom.
