Weekend sun!

I don't think i'll be getting down to Price, but i'll wait for the RR!

It's supposed to be nice weather up here, so i'll be looking to ride at least one day this weekend... dunno where yet...

Trackhead: The route west that does go through w/o getting shot is on the south side of the hwy going from Delle to the Knolls,,, from there i don't know.

Riding a 150 mile loop around Silver Island Mtns across to Newfoundland Mtns, then up and over the Pilot Peaks and back to the Salt Flats on monday. Not sure if the Salt Flats will be wet or not. If they are, then the crossing to the Newfie's might not happen.

Bikes on trailer to the Salt Flats, then riding from there. Taking the new (to me) XR600R. Thumpity thump.

Lotta this.

Yeah I guess riding slick rock bike trail, Tipple fork Trail #157 and the single track west of grantsville on my 350lbs bike makes me a softy

If you say so. I would never ride a 350 pound bike on those trails. That must have taken a lot of work.

No sarcasm there! I mean, like NONE AT ALL!

I'm sure Frog would take his 450 lb bike though! I wish i could hit Price w/ ya Frog, even if i'd be wagging my diapers in yer face on my XR400!

I once rode my CRF250x on the freeway, pegged out in 5th gear, going all of 60mph. I felt pretty rad.

I think utards should go to Baja. Not really to race.....but more like a bunch of tards cruising safely down dirt roads and trails like a bunch of pony express riders. He He He He! Bitches!

Don't wory hick I'll help you pick your bike up when you get tired!

Day Two

Take a rip on the salt flats.
We spent more time at the gas station washing off the salt than we did riding. But what a blast!

We're spending the night in Killyons Canyon. One of the riders dad lives here. Beautiful Valley.

Nail on the head

Dudes, Mr. Frog hit the nail on the head. I mean the deep philosophical conundrum with an ADV-er must be: 'what bike?'.

Dirtbikes on freeways, street bikes in the rocks, ... it's a source of constant tension and frustration -and- a way to add more challenge to the sport.

Even owning a different iron for each stroke wouldn't completely solve it. Unlike golf clubs, you can't pack the whole quiver with you on a three-day ride (although dumbgirl comes close with her BMW F-mounted pedal-bike, see page 276).

As soon as KTM invents a convertible bike that acts like a street bike from house to trailhead, then transforms to a trials bike, then all of the fun will be gone.
