I have and agreement with the guy I ride with that if we can't feel our arms/legs after a crash, then the best first aid is a 9mm round to the head. No need for a SPOT for trail side assistance of this sort.

Hey Youse Guyyysss!
Sorry I've been a bit offline lately. I'm in South Carolina for the month for work. Yes, I do teach a Wilderness First-Aid class at the Ogden Red Cross. I normally teach it in two consecutive Saturdays. The first day is classroom/book learning. The second Saturday is hands-on field exercises, and the final test. Often the second class doesn't take the whole day.

I just got an email from the Red Cross the other day indicating they have just updated the material (new books....WOOT!) and they want me to do another class soon. I want to say the cost is $60, and you get not one, not two, but three different books with the class.

If you guys are truly interested, please call the Ogden chapter of the Amercian Red Cross and request the Wilderness First Aid class. When I get back late this month I'll call them and try to push things on my end.

I really need 8-12 people to make it worth doing (and that's what the curriculum calls for), so do call up and get on the list. I'll work on getting a date set and things going on my end. I'd enjoy having some of you folks in the class.
