No kidding. I went and visited Harcus yesterday in SLC from Orem. When I got done at Harcus' house and headed home, there was just a little bit of snow dropping and some rain snain I guess. Anyway I got to about 90th South on I-15 and started jetsking so I got off and headed East to try to avoid the high speeds on I-15. I went up 90th S towards the mountains thinking that I would go over Traverse Pass. (It wasn't coming down hard YET!!!) Did I mention also that I have never been over Travers ridge Pass and only seen it on Google Earth while looking for fun places to ride in the summer... So I got up there and it started coming down hard right about the time I started to get up into the altitude, I was trying to get through quick but found myself in 1st and 2nd gear the whole time going very slow with my blinkers on in an almost whiteout. I made it over and went down US 89 to Orem. I am sure glad I have heated grips and a heated jacket and a nice heavy bike to cut through the crap. And belive it or not I am glad I took that route instead of I-15. Here are the pictures.

I should have warn my full face helmet.

And your right Frog, Harcus has a great shop and I am confident he could build about anything you can think of for your bike. He is going to make me a second seat passenger back rest for my bike. I will post pictures when it is all done.

My bro will be riding the XR6, the rest will be on girly 250's;) My motorhome has a refridgerator that keeps beer really cold.
I'll be on my XR650R, so you're bro won't be the only slow guy... There's lots of goods in Moab for the 21st.

I'll PM you my phone number. Probably meeting at 8-9am on the 18th.

Year right..........most of these rides are brainless and with your 50+hp will breathing XR dust as we rev our 250's to the moon to keep up.

Gas station in Ferron. I'm at work, but it's across the street from the grocery store.

Wow, there are some mint vintage bikes in your link.

I worked at a shop that sold BMWs in the 70's. Nice flashback.

Is there a favored location that the KLRista dumpster dive? I could drop them there... just stuff them behind it, or maybe duct tape them to the inside of the lid.

If Pluric had finished the Utard roster you could call me.

Guess we'll have to use the PM thing.

Don't tape it or just set it near the dumpster. Throw it in and mix things up a bit that way I can dive in and have a bit of treasure hunt. Who know what else I might find!

I'll PM you.

That looks REALLY fun. Man you are killing as I know it would not be smart to take my KLR on those rides, but I REALLY want to go. I need to get that drz400s soon I think, but then I'll have to find a way to haul it around...ugh.

Delle tomorrow

Looks like Delle tomorrow, I don't care about the weather..or mud..or Hills Have Eye's types (Trail Dumpster has 14 45.ACP round in one clip, more than enough for Delle's population). I have to ride the beast. Should be three of us, anybody else headed up there were going to be on the North side.. If not, wish me good mileage. Hoping for 80 miles to a tank.

We need to go do drills in a parking lot. It helps a lot. Practice turning as tight and slow as you can until your circling with your bars twisted to the stops at about 2 mph... Practice figure 8's like that... Also practice in the cones (or oil spots in the parking lot, and pick marks on the pavement that are closer and closer till your swerving (in first) like a lunatic. Practice power stops. I don't think anyone should even be on the street until they can "nearly" lock up the front brakes. Practice wheelies! (small ones)

A couple more rides and you'll ride like a ninja, it just takes saddle hours and pushing your limits (in controlled areas), but your bike could handle a lot more than you think.

OK, I'm racing A1 up the Bountiful Boulder single track on Terracruz's KLR, and I'll beat him even if the KLR breaks into 40 pieces! It's on buddy!!!

Notice that I said smart as in having a 438lb (according to clymer manual) bike break my femur/spine in half does not sound fun. Also, the KLR could break which would suck and is very possible.
