That's because I was trail riding not racing. I would put money that I can go faster on a 450cc bike over a 650cc bike on a B.O.R. type desert race. I'm usually not a betting man or horn-tooting type but right now I could use the money. Anyone who claims that them riding their XRR can do a faster time in a B.O.R. race vs me 450X and willing to put a friendly wager down? Only caveat is that it can't be FROG. Besides he's orange anyways.

Each bike has benefits and minuses. The XRR is not a smooth engine. The Cannondale will not make the power of a modern 450 or XRR. The Husky 576 engine is very smooth and is faster than my XRR engine. That's just my observation from having both.



Besides the best bike is the best you've ridden. So far I have to say the CRF450X.

I do have a little footage of Frog's ass, and about 30 seconds of footage of frog's buddy Daniel (Mr. #1 win in some race or other) so i guess footage is proof so i don't need to race any of you turtles!


On a side note, thanks Harcus for doing the XR borneyack psuedo gold valve and stack tweak to my forks today! My XR will be sooooo smooth I'll be ditchin' TrailTwister's 300 2smoke on the cliffs of Hobble on my Pig!

I've never ridden with M-Angelo, but I'll put $20 on GISkev just for shits and giggles.

If the winner is the Utard who can throw together a spot-on ride through mind-blowing scenery, stay on the pegs and on the edge for 12 hours, and make sure everyone has fuel, food, and freaky campfire stories...my money is on the 650.

What'd I say?! Kevin and I enjoy filming and I just can't help reliving the rush of riding. Some of the time while watching footage we say, 'man we were riding fast and so was Michaelangelo, Harcus, TrailTwister, Fano, Frog, Daniel and so on'. Certainly, we discuss other things like music, obstacles, hill climbs etc.. more often.
Anyway, it was just an observation with a spring board attached, that's all. I love my xr650r and my 450x so I'm torn which is the better bike but who cares! I'm going to ride what my friend is riding on any particular day. Right now it is my xr650r because I like riding w/ my buddy GISKev. I would like to see Kev and I packing photography equipment to races, chasing and filming the racers. I am afraid GISKEV is more interested in doing big ADV rides?
As far as your statement above Michaelangelo, there are tons of riders in the world so you better put some limitations on your statement especially if you don't want to lose your money! Even if you say, ' I meant riders on this thread' you're going to be in trouble! Further, I'm a worrisome fellow and although I have only ridden with you once, I would hate to see you get hurt or any Utard for that matter especially since it started with my reply!
