Oh look, pictures of a nifty little FII sidecar chassis with no motor.

Since the head jobsworth is now threating me with physical e-violence...

Here is a neat series of pictures of a bare Formula II sidecar chassis.

~ Brakes are Bicknell (Willwood) with bias for chair
~ Suspension is Koni front, and rear is adjustable Fox
~ Frame is spacious enough for many different motors (had 96' CBR 900RR)
~ Adjustable geometry at all three wheels
~ Body work is new not painted (rear fender/kneeler still needs finishing)

If you didn't cache the information, you're SOL. Maybe poke around the SRA-East website.

Riding that machine would be a sensation nearing extasy, I think.. If I had the money, and the engine, I would jump at that, and be enjoying every moment of it. Turning it into a street machine would also be something I would enjoy... :)

Yea, it's .

Bad Cat, why don't you post a thread in the Flea Market and edit out the sale info here. Then put a link to the ad in your sigline. You can leave the pics, they're cool!

Thanks.

John, I agree in spirit, but I'm with RedMenace on this one.

The Flea Market isn't sufficiently categorized and has too much churn for obscure items like this one that are of no interest to 99% of Flea Market readers, but certainly of interest to most of us here in Hacks - whether we want to buy them or not.

I agree. Us sidecar guys love this stuff, and are happy to see it any way we can. Leave it just as it is, and move a1fa to Jo momma.

I saw a brand new, never-in-a-bike Hayabusa motor for sale on E-bay.

There's a 1000cc cutoff for West Coast FII/FI rigs, and on the East Coast they stick to the strict ACU 600cc limit for the FII class. So you're looking at GSXR1000/YamahaR1 engines, or R6/GSXR600... those seem to be the engines of choice right now in the fast rigs. We're the oddballs running a 04 CBR1000RR engine in our CSR.

And I should mention, a1fa has a prior beef with me since he's permanantly banned from EFNet's #motorcycles IRC channel for being overly annoying.

Hey Bad Cat, I love sidecar racing of all types. But I'm always on a tight budget, and looking for fixer-uppers. If I wanted to buy something similar to that rig in the photos, what would one expect to pay for something like that? And where might one look to find rigs like that for sale? And where can I find a list of sidecar roadraces in North America?
