Hey, I am thinking of going up to my brothers up in Pellston. Anybody know any good trails up there?

Well, the MCCCT comes through there, but I've never ridden that section.

Of course for on road fun you're not far from the Tunnel of Trees.

Oh yeah the helmetless dipshit's are out in force. I have several friends who are nurses up here in Traverse, and apparently the hospitals are gearing up for the slaughter. I wont feel an ounce of sympathy for the lot of them if they won't take care of themselves.

Yea I guess it's all bout personal choice and being able to make it . It's all the same seatbelts , car seats , bike helmets !

Man at my age I can't beleve any of my friends made it through child hood .

When is the last time you saw a marry-go-round in a park ?
My kids friends come over and ask
"Whats that round thing in your back yard "

Pretty sad I think .

Excellent point.

When I was a kid our trampolines had springs and no safety nets and I'm only 25! I call it survival of the fittest, I suppose the same can be said about other safety concerns as well.

I wear a helmet when I snow ski and bicycle and wearing a helmet is as much a fashion statement as it is for safety in those sports. No serious skiers/snowborders or bikers go without. I'm in Texas on vacation and I noticed most of the bikers down here wear helmets. Texans may not be as smart as us Yankees but they are more fashion consious. They also have better taste in music and BBQ...Waaaaaay better!
Not in El Paso TX on the helmets ORGT. Not 1 in 10 wear a helmet and they kill them off about 2 or 3 per week. When you see one with a helmet he is usually out of Ft. Bliss and HAS TO wear a helmet and color vest by Army regs. We would not want to destroy military property of course.

+1 on the TX BBQ.... They really do know how there.

So thats why I saw so many riders wearing reflective vest when I stayed by Ft. Hood last night? I might have seen four riders today beween Waco and Texarkana without helmets, most were wearing lids. I think when the temps go up in Texas the helmets come off, its only been in the low eighties lately. You also see many more motorcycles in Michigan than Texas...

I was in Fort Worth for a week in December. Maybe 4 in 10 had helmets. Just need eye protection to be legal.

Its easier to mount the gun rack in a pick-up than on a motorcycle.

No, redneck, no. You stay in Alabama and drink Miller lite. You can't have our tasty brew
