I have 29" in seam and I tip toe. This bike definitely has wider seat than other bikers out there. It also has higher clearance then other scoots. So, your best bet would be to try one.

Just bought new 09
I picked up my T Max on Weds. I have ridden bikes and scooters for over 40 years. My other bike is a BMW R1200 Rt. I am so impressd with the T Max. I am having some problems with it though.
![]() 3 different times in 171 miles it starves for fuel and will not go over 20 miles per hour. I took it back to the dealership and I can not dublicate it. I left it there yesterday after getting stranded Thursday night. It ran fine Friday am on the drive there. Any thoughts would be a huge help. I am only up to page thirty on this thread so I will keep reading. |

I think a lot of '09s had fuel pump problems. My friend's was replaced under warranty, but his symtoms were not starting when hot.

Mine had a similar problem, bucking/surging and stalling after running fine. Had the fuel pump swapped out under warranty and no problems since.

Common problem and well documented on other sites. Here is a link to one of many threads on the issue:
http://majestyusa.com/forums/viewtop...8b78e5fcdf9b75 Bottom line is replace your fuel pump and all will be fine...

I wonder if we will get it in the US? I know Honda updated the Silverwing a couple of years ago but we still get the old version.

Rumours are the new one is an 800cc. oh the joy, i hope its a beast, if so i may come back to the tmax fold as i miss mine dearly, i bet its a rediculous price though as they dont have a big maxi market here in the uk, oh well, time to start saving and hoping!

I can't even imagine how much it'll cost..
For the price of the current T-max here, you can get TWO Kawasaki ER6ns, or, for example, an er6n/f (650R) with ABS and a Kymco People/Downtown 300 with ABS.

Variator Tool
Slightly off current topic I know, but I have just bought one of these. I'm pretty sure it will be able to hold the variator whilst I loosen/tighten the nut but can anyone here with more knowledge confirm?

Local dealer said it'll be a "T-max 550", so 530cc is probably possible and accurate.
