Shame we don't get the version with the integrated turn signals - wonder if it's cost prohibitive to retro fit with body parts from the Euro model...

Wonder what the mileage is like on the race versions

Got to admit, for some time i've been thinking about going over to a scoot. I have a Bandit 1250 and i hardly use what that bike has on tap. I think 50 bhp in a user friendly package would do me just fine.
Love that vid of all the TMaxs' lined up. Much cash for Yammie methinks..

I had a Burgman 650 and sold it because its lack of power made it boring to tour on. The T-Max is even slower, with less storage and less weather protection. My $0.02. Pick up a new or used 250 scooter for running around town and keep the Bandit for longer rides.

Of course, if I had this guy's talent, I might still have my Burgman

That's not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all. I have to admit, i was a bit wary of selling the Bandit for the very concerns you have expressed. Might have a dig through the local classified ads.

Good I saw a picture of an 08 Tmax with the round gauges and then I saw one with Majesty like guages and an LCD screen. Looks like the round one with the small circular LCD in the bottom section is what it will be then. great thanks

Yip, thats what they look like, look around on youtube, definately seen vids of the 08 max showing dash lit up at night!

Ok I have a question. I watched a Youtube video of the Tmax and it showed just one of the 2 headlights on just like my old Zuma. On my Majesty both headlights are on in low and high beam. Which way does the North American Tmax go? like the Zuma with one of two on or like the Majesty with both on at the same time. If it is like the Zuma then the light output will not be as good as the Majesty (Most of my cars don't have lights as good as a Majesty). I will be looking for an upgrade to enhance the lighting if only one comes on at a time.......

Looks like Yamaha used H7s, like they do in the TDM900. You'll definitely want to budget for a set of HID conversion kits...
