If anyone is looking to buy Euro style LED front blinkers, here is where I got mine. I've gone back and forth with the seller and he is willing to ship out for 40 Euro (came out to about $137 shipped).

Here are some short mirrors. This guy is willing to ship for $19.50 Euro to US (comes out to $181 shipped)

Also willing to ship to US, but have not received shipping cost yet:

Thanks Fox, i actually bought the Laguna Seca kit (black white strip) and rim stripes from Ebay. I had the white vinyl, black stripe and Tmax decal custom made at a decal shop locally.

I really like the Tmax. What are the odds they'll bring the ABS version to the U.S.?

Yup. BigWheelsTurning did it and wrote it up on majestyusa.com You can search on YouTube as he posts videos of all the modifications and service he does on his Tmax.

Just a guess, but I'm thinking Yamaha may not. The Tmax isn't exactly flying off the showroom floors at $7999/$8099 (blue, yellow respectively), and a lot of people are able to negotiate significantly below MSRP because dealers aren't moving them quickly. My guess is that ABS would add about $500 to $1000 to the MSRP which would make it a much harder sell.

FWIW, if ABS were available, I would have bought it...

I agree - great bike but overpriced as is already as well (in my opinion)

Me too. It's too bad, and I'm sure the weakening dollar won't help things.

I'd like to downsize from my R1200RT as all I do with it is commute back and forth to work 50 miles a day. A touring scoot would be ideal and I really like the looks of the Tmax, but ABS is one of my requirments.

A lot of people are in this boat, especially if you do stop and go commute for any amount.
Clutching kills the fun and all it takes is one ride on a big scoot like the T500 and you're sold.

It was one of my requirements too as I was looking seriously at the Honda VFR 800 Interceptor w/ABS. But I couldn't do the VFR as I didn't want to add paniers or a top case, and without storage, it became just a "toy" instead of something I could use for commuting.

While I was disappointed that the Tmax doesn't have ABS, I'm finding the brakes to be wonderfully powerful and haven't come close to locking them up yet. I do wish there was a way to retrofit the ABS kit onto a Tmax without, but I'm sure it would be really expensive. But instead of denying myself the opportunity to ride the Tmax, I decided to "bite the bullet" and buy one. If the ABS version comes out (or the rumored 750cc version ever shows up), I'll just consider trading to one of those models. So yeah, I compromised my requirement, but in this case, I have no regrets!
