That would be so tempting.... right there, for the taking..
If I were to go after it I would use several flotation barrels (enough for about 4 to 6 tons of lift) and a long, heavy cable anchored to something solid and then just dig out around the hack.... wait for the tide to come in and do the lifting for me. If that worked, I guess you'd have to find a boat with a winch/crane to retrieve it... Chances are it's not worth saving.

Why doesn't someone just go to the bridge at low tide and see if it's fair dinkum or not (for those non Aussies that means to see if it's actually there or not).
Then when it's confirmed it's still actually there DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE F@#KING THING!!!!!
