Adventure in the Rockies
Bought a used "03" 640 Adventure after selling the KLR. What a bike . Put an exhaust and carb mods with the more open airbox and it rocks. Why did I wait so long to get one??? Went up to Pennock Pass today as far as they would let you go due to deep snow. I forgot to take my camera but here is the pick of my "almost new" Adventure. What a great motor!

Ozzie Adventure
Thought I better chime in. '03 640 Adventure, Staintune exhaust, carb mods, Ralleye pegs, Scotts steering damper, custom headlight guard, 2600 klms on the clock.

Well, it's not and Adventure but it is an LC4E.
After two good summers of pretty tough trails, I had to give it a birthday with new plastic, very reasonably priced. Also fitted the 625SXC muffer with spark arrestor, NOT so reasonably priced!! However I have a very good dealer who took sympathy and gave a tremendous discount!! So, this is that last time it will be so clean. She now has 15000km, about 90% off pavement and just keeps getting better. |

Signing on
I finally borrowed a digital camera to capture my bike and the terrain in my central California semi-arid local. The Adventure is a 2001 with no engine modifications. There are some functional and cosmetic enhancements, but the bottom line is fun.

I picked the wrong line in the mud and hit a hidden shelf. We had to lift the front wheel over the shelf. It took three of us in the deep mud. I was so beat I was not sure I could go on. After about 10 or so of those mud holes we hit the dry sections for the rest of the day...Thank God! Ya, it was the Doc clinic. |
