Hmm what tire you run at front?
I've been with my 6500 km'ed KTM into the dunes (well if you can call em dunes) with standard tyres (sahara 3 crap) and those tyres just SUCK.
They sucked on the road in the wet, but apparently they also suck offroad in sand.

Nice fender too, I might add a black one to my ´03 biatch

I thought we weren't counting post hole diggers, and snowblowers anymore??

At least your still riding a KTM, though at this rate I won't be surprised if the next one is a GL1800, or a FLXH........

I just put on some no name Cheng Shin road tire in the front on Saturday.
Bike runs smoother on pavement for sure. I've got the 660 Rallye as a off-road vehicle, the 640 Adventure is mostly a pavement machine these days.
I did take it to the motocross race on Sunday, the parking lot was a mix of slippery mud and grass, 640 did not dissapoint even with all the crap I had strapped onto the bike.

Next month I'll put the 17" motard front wheel on the 640 Adventure..

'00 LC4 640 Enduro

Looks good Dagwood! The lighter, faster LC4 is an excellent ride for me too.

thumptastic.
Have a 12 liter tank too but it's a bit short on range. the small tanks great around town or just for a rip in the woods. I just put the big 18 liter tank back on and it's nice not worrying about milage in the middle of knowhere and it's sti light enough to flog pretty hard in the tight stuff.
Lookin good thumptastic.

Just bought my 03 Advnture last October. Finding this site has been a great tool for calming myself down when I find out that every one else has had the same problems with thiers. I built a Carbon fiber airbox cover after I saw one on here but I'm not going to throw it on until I free up the exhaust and rejet. Does anyone else ride dual sport in the Newark De. area, or am I the only one??
