Man, those wheels are pretty! Nate is now going out to the money tree in his backyard and pulling off sufficent cash for a set of his own... black rims and orange hubs?
Nate? Hey VT, you call that an action shot? Come on brother, we want to see some air! Or at least a shot of you decimating a sand berm! Creeper |

Send me a message if you want to hook up and ride sometime. Been thinking about heading out to "hangtown" (I know it is not actually Hangtown) to get my dirt feet beneath me more. Let me know if you are game... Michael |

Lovely bike artstyle. What is the sign warning us about? High tide? Armed militants? Naked girls? Drif10 posting? What?

from our place in New Zealand, lots of locals go riding up there. But who knows with global warming the tide might get that high. And I forgot one other mod to my 98 was an 03 Adventure seat took a few mods to fit but worth its weight in gold. The original 98 seats like wood. Attached another shot of the beach down here and some peoples trash, dangerous stuff when your riding fast on a beach. |

Recently Acquired 640
Just picked up a spotless '02 Adventure 640 last week - not a scratch anywhere (yet!!). Can't wait to get it out and bang it up. Runs excellent with many mods and about half the weight of my GS. Looking forward to doing some local rides with you guys.
First time posting pics - bear with me I will give it a shot.

Thanks Dagwood - wish I could take some of the credit. I bought it as is - but I definitely know a great bike when I see one.

New Owner- no pic
I just got a '99 AdvR 640 Saturday. Been looking for one in 3 states for a while now. Every time I'd see one, it was listed used for more than the new price. Whazzup wit' dat?
So, last week I found this one right in my own valley, and with 2200 street miles on it! I've been thumpin' around the local mountains all weekend. I'll have to give it a bath and take a pic later. What all should I be aware of that are the tender points on this machine? I already found one right underneath my a$$. That rock has got to go. There's a couple good upholsterers around that should be able to fix me up, but it may have to wait until I can do without the ride for a week or 2. There's a lot of trails callin' me now. Mods: it's been jetted and the centerstand swapped for a sidestand. I need to set up a GPS mount and power cord for my Magellan. It needs a tire. I see the MT21 is popular. I ddn't want quite so agressive a tire. Anybody got something a little less "knobby" to recommend? |
