Looks good! Your fork seals look different. I wonder how/why?

It really is a 98. VIN number VBKGSL401W...The W is a 98 model. If it were a 97 it would have a V in this position.
Again, only a few of these made it into the states...apparently this is the modified version they used for the Dakar rally that year. I'm curious if the bike Limey has is the same or if it is the 97... |

I guess some assholes at the KTM plant decided to etch some different VIN numbers in just for the hell of it...

Anyways, back to the thread...
I just recieved my 2003 KTM 640 Adventure!!!
Casper Mountain Motorsports (WY) drove it over here to Cali for me. A very nice fella named Allen brought it, helped me unload it and then patiently waited for me to get the details out of the way (they wanted money, can you believe it?). Thanks to Swampy for getting the list of the last available 03s in America! I believe there is one in Washington, one in upstate NY, and a demo in Ohio - and that's all she wrote for the 03 model year! Now if only I can get thru the manual before I go out there and ride it...

FYI, watch out for that bikez.com site you linked to - a friend noticed that they tried to install something on his computer when he visited there (nasty business). In these cases he just switches to the new Mozilla browser (much safer than Internet Exploder), but I thought it worth mentioning. Alternatively you can use Ad-aware for free to clean up after soiling your computer at such sites.
