I had a 2003. Mmmmmm silvery happiness. Cept when it was on top of me. At the bottom of a ditch. When no one knew where I was.

Otherwise, the only other bike that's put the same smile on my face is Steverino's 950SE. I don't need another BIG dirtbike

So I am at work reading this thread, checking out everyone's sweet looking 640s and thinking to myself... "Ok that is it! I am getting one in the spring!" and right as I think that, I pour some more Peanut Butter M&Ms out and look what pours out all together at once!

I think I see my calling...

Yes, it's definitely your calling! (always the most important things in life are defined by these kind of signals )
just do it!
Since today, we'll have your 'welcome to the club' salute waiting for you 'till next spring.

Our bike is still giving fight in the Dakars???

I was really excited ... but then I checked and this czech rider runs a Yamaha WR450F, with the KTM 640ADV plastics and tank ...!
I think the spirit of our bike is making him being at 22nd position in the General Standings yesterday ... not bad

Need help

I have a 1997 620 Adventure and can't seem to find the correct spec for coolant. It seems I might have a leak where coolant is being burnt off, but I'm not sure. Do I need to drain all the coolant and simply put in some prestone? Thanks!

Ken

HAHA, please will all of you pre-write your 'welcome to the club' letters for me :) I hope it is sooner than the spring and might be Feb-March time. I need to keep my eye peeled for a nice one.

Also, Is there a thread on here for "10 best upgrades I have done to my KTM 640" on here? I hate how the search function doesn't recognize 3 letter words... its like 90% of the bikes on here! Makes it hard to search.

Lowering links

Info on lowering links (previous post updated, too):

Read the Koubalink FAQ #7 for some explanation of -ve effects of lowering links, and also the RaceTech Lowering page. Then read this post for empirical data and more explanation of the problem.

Does anyone can tell me what headlights that KTM Rally Replica are using?
I would like to replace the stock ones of my 640 Adv.

I am trying for some time to replace the hallogen with HID and it seems imposible. The brake tube and left fork tube are hitting the much too long fasung of the hid bulb.
