KTM640 Seat

Are there any recommended half-decent seats available out there? I am aware of the Renazaco but the waiting lists are so long? Any recs guys as my butt is getting sore! I am also looking for one giving me a little more legroom as I am short-legged! I know out in the US there are all sorts of mod companies but here in South Africa there is very little. I am happy to buy a rebuild kit but have no idea where to start. Also, for those of you interested in Adv riding in South Africa, come on down. It will rival what you lucky people in the USA have at your doorstep I am sure! http://www.dualsportafrica.com/homepage.htm

The wait for a Renazco is worth every single minute. Just MHO of course.

I have heard guys tape a folded terry cloth towel to the seat to give a breather between you and the seat cover, plus, it helps takes away the friction. If that works, try a sheep skin cover.

I made a sheep skin pad from a piece and sewed elastic straps to it that held it on. Slide it on, fasten the seat back on and it will stay put. There is a place in Alaska, USA that custom makes them. If you find a home made one works and want better, give them a try

I have 2 bikes with Renazco and can attest to the value of waiting

X2!

Get some Exofficio underware. The boxer style are seamless, the boxer briefs have the seams. It's the seams that kill ya. Just check out your underware. You will see what I mean.

Renazco's are the best!

Just got an 06 KTM ADV LC4 from Choppercopper (i think that was name) last weekend. Rode 650 miles on her this weekend up through Big Sur. I am in love! Just need to figure out how to mount my new trailtech MR16s..
