KTM 640 ADV Clutch
after searching the forums I could not find an answer, therefore I ask:
I'm about to replace the clutch in my 2001 KTM 640 ADV. should I buy the original or can I use this one for example : http://global.ebay.com/BARNETT_DIRT_...519786823/item which costs, almost, half the price. Will it last like the original or should I use the original due to better quality? If I buy original KTM parts it will cost me between 280 to 310 USD, while using aftermarket like the one from EBAY may cost me around 140 to 150 USD including shipment. Thanks. http://global.ebay.com/KTM_540_620_6...511697265/item this one costs 60 USD. http://global.ebay.com/KTM_540_620_6...593300189/item this one is 144 USD.

My 2c:
I consider the clutch one of the toughest parts of the LC4 engine. Haw many km/miles did you do on that clutch before time came to change it? If you opt for cheaper parts be ready to change it again sooner than if you put OEM in..... Cheers! M.

Hi guys;
I recently purchased a 2007 640 Adventure off of one of the other inmates here.......I have not had any time to ride it yet, I still need to get it inspected so I can insure it in Canada. I'd post pictures, but I have a hell of a time posting photo's here. I am looking forward to getting on it once I have completed a few repairs. Cheers

aftermarket clutches
The complete kit would be the way to go. ($144) EBC makes quality stuff.
KTM doesn't actually make clutch plates, they buy them from a supplier. I have used several aftermarket clutches over the years with no problems, but I have always used products from companies that are known to sell quality stuff. You have a picture of a Barnett kit. The Barnett kits used to come with heavy duty springs and would make the clutch pull very stiff.

I replaced the one in mine with EBC too
Can you pull the head and cylinder without pulling the engine from the frame? I guess I'm going to toss a set of rings in the paint shaker to stop the oil burning for now. I found some cheap pannier bags that fit like they was make for an LC4. My little write up on them when I set em on the XT350, really to big for it, but do fit the well. http://armusings.blogspot.com/2011/0...ers-xt350.html

Yes, you can pull the jug with the motor in the frame. Check the threads in the jug for the head bolts, mine were tearing themselves out after roughly 7,000 miles!

GoPro Hero HD Mounting Options
Just got a Hero. Since we don't have a wind screen that you can see through, what do you guys use for mounting options?
Pics would be perfect.
