KTM ADV Fuel Pump

A new fuel pump has arrived.
I build a new plate to with new set of holes to hold the new pump.
tomorrow I will test the fuel pump performance.
pictures will be published later.
the fuel pump was bought from this ebay seller:
http://global.ebay.com/NEW-MIKUNI-FU...308700305/item

This seller answered all my questions quickly and sent the product well wrapped. for your knowledge.

to be continued.

Fuel pet cock

Are there any higher quality pet cocks out there, or are people just buying new OEM ones? I was told the KTM ones tend to be of cheaper quality.
Thanks for your help.

Don't believe everything you hear eh. The KTM petcocks are fine. Seals can and will perish on any petcock, and are replaceable.

Some folks with Adventures remove them and blank the opening off, and just use the inner ones on the tank.

Thanks for the reply! Maybe then I'll have to look into replacing the seals then. I've had the tank off and noticed that it still leaks fuel out of the main petcock.

The fuel pump works fine.
I've open the carb and cleaned it and checked the float level.
it is working very well and I can report that the problem was solved.
Pictures will be uploaded later.

That's my exact bike! Mine has has around 3,600 miles and a supertrapp exhaust. Bought it in November with 3,300 miles. Just registered it last week. I absolutely love it over the DR-650. Plus I'm a KTM guy anyway.

GJ, my petcock has always dribbled a little when unmounted from the tank. Last week I had the tank off so I drained it, removed the petcock, disassembled and cleaned it. So far it's dribble free! It was quick, easy and free just the way I like it.

2001 640 Adventure radiator photo needed!

I am buying my brothers ( user SpencerCompton) 2001 640! It was wrecked almost 2 years ago and has been garaged since. Upon putting things back together, we realized that the bottom radiator hose (that connects the two at the bottom) seems very, very close to the upper header pipe ( barely enough room for a hose clamp to get between). Photo evidence is requested to confirm our assumption that the radiator has not been damaged/ moved. The bike was in a front crash with a car, there is a thread somewhere around the site about it...

Looking forward to joining the Adventure world!
