btw, I see that AM batteries look almost the same as Ballistic but much cheaper and the only difference I see is the connector for some balance charging on Ballistics
Just google search on adv for shorai and you'll find all the pros and cons on this cell technology.

Thanks GB and MotoMark39, if not for these 2, probably would not own this bike.

Everything I dreamed of so far, sold the 06 KLR and replaced with this.

MXChamp...thanks, I assumed they ran the oil pumps, only problem I have only one plastic gear, the other grenaded when the countershaft bearing let go and destroyed it rocking back and forth in the cases. Thi$ i$ $tarting to look expen$ive....maybe a part out job...friend of mine works at KTM, he's gunna look at it in his spare time..crossing fingers.

Well here is an idea on how to save money on a rebuild.

Replace that bearing and attempt to get out as much plastic or metal as possible with a rag and magnet.

I would definitely at least inspect the oil pumps for blockage.

Put her back together and put fresh oil in her. Ride her for 25 miles and change the oil/inspect the filters. Then if you dont see a bunch of junk, then you know your good. Install fresh oil and filters then ride her till she drops.

It might work?

:)

They are exactly the same, minus the logo's....I have one on my GSXR-1K trackbike, I disconnect it when the bike sits between trackdays...shelf life is wonderful.

They are great and start the bike quickly, however I still don't trust them a 100% yet...like I said if it ever goes flat it is'nt like the battery on a cordless drill, it is toast...and won't comeback to like new....ever. *so I am told*..by guys who have had this happen.

Read the Instructions that come with them cover to cover.

Front fairing material

Does anyone know what the material of the front faring is?
and what type of paint covers it.

I want to attach a windshield with 3m dual lock and the adhesives on this product vary.

Thanks

I agree 100%, but when I asked my wife to take me to pick it up she laughed, like only one other time she has laughed at me.

I have, different part number. Wonder if it because the '02 has a different color seat, or the actual seat is completely different size and shape.
