As stated on another of your threads, I highly recommend you do this with relays (1 for low, 1 for high). Also, 110W is a lot to be drawing from the 640 electrical system (especially with heated grips on HIGH).

Don't have pic but:

1. Buy a BIG diode (with relays you can use much smaller as the switching wires draw nearly no amps/watts)
2. Solder wire to each end and cover with heat shrink tubing (buy this at Jaycar as well).
3. Now just patch into the wire that goes to high beam over to the low beam wire. If it doesn't work (or high comes on with low), just reverse the wiring.

I have recently done a similar thing, but with a Rigid Industries 6 x LED light bar.
Hahaha, you got me right and that is what i did.
Put the diode between the blue and yellow coming out of the switch and it is magic. awesome!!
Now i need to get the lamps from orangish to white...

Peace!

Got myself a 640 Adventure 98 a month ago which turned out to require more repairs than planned but now it's finally done.
Most costly was the repair of the shock as the rebound adjuster did not work and x hours was required just to get stuff to loosen up. Also ditched the shitty Dellorto carb for a FCR41 which worked perfectly, the bike now starts in less than 1 second and throttle response is on a completely different level, most likely the best possible mod on these bikes.
Thanks to this forum costs were kept to a minimum with great tips on e.g starter clutch repair, tripmaster double speed fix etc, many thanks to all that has contributed to the wealth of information available on this site!
Pic from the first test run yesterday:

If your bike has a high beam flash on the front of the headlight switch follow those wires back hook to switch done!

As I always say... keep it simple!

I can see you were lucky, that tree was exactly where you needed it to be... the terrain goes down very fast after it...!

It's the shot, or the rear wheel is still rotating???
