Installed a Rekluse clutch in my 2003 640 Adventure on Saturday. It's going to make my fully loaded 10 day adventure in Utah so much nicer! Stoked!

That's because you hardly ever get out on it. That doesn't count.

Ouch! I'm looking to take it to Trinity on Friday....4 trips through town since April for a combined total of 3 days, no trips to my house, in Churchill Falls now.

The Kijiji ad doesn't say if it's running but $5000 for an 01 seems a bit high. It is pretty, though.

Hey Mike Jonny is a friend of Geoff and I, Geoff's got him all wound up for a 640 with pics of mine in action.

Got any other leads for him or are you saving them for yourself?

Who, me? I just did a quick search on Kijiji and spotted the ad for the bike but I don't know anything other than what's in the ad. It sure is shiny, and 21000 kms. I'm out of the market for more bikes for the moment, having just sold all three BMWs we had. Life sure is simple now, with only two simple DRs to maintain.

It is running, I may go up and give it a test ride tomorrow.

$5000 does seem a little high particularly as he is the 3rd owner. Lots of nice add-ons though.

That bike has been on kijiji for over a year now, I remember seeing it on there when I was hunting for my bike. I think $5000 does seem like a bit of sticker shock at first but it looks like an ultra clean bike. You're paying for some really nice farkels and a sweet paint job. But for the bike to really be worth that much it would have to have almost new everything, chain, sprockets, bearings, breaks, anything that wears, new top end maybe, etc...

Good luck!

When I bought my 03 new it was 2004 and thousands less than list price. KTM North America only imported 200 (two hundred) 640 Adventures each year - to the US or the US and Canada I don't know, but its still damn few - so these bikes were never well understood or known over here.

My point: a used 640a languishing in the want ads for a year is not unexpected.

hey guys
since I'm going to the Nordkapp in 3 weeks and then proceeding to far-north Russia I was considering to put heated grips on my 640A. I've already chosen the Symtec heated grip kit to use with my beloved PROGRIP 786 foam grips...
Never used those heaters, but read some good stuff about them. Are they really good?
Also wanted to fix the clutch lever sensor for starting the bike not only in neutral position of gearbox, it wasn't working since the day 1 I bought the bike from previous owner. Returning the gearbox to the neutral position sometimes becomes annoying and since I will do all that stuff on handlebars I decided to change the handlebars, cause they are not narrow any more and suffered a lot for last years
I can get Easton EXP handlebars with some discount but I don't know which will fit 640A... any help with that?
