That guy has a lot of balls taking our pics to use for himself, especially considering the outrageous markup of £15 which is what about $30 now?

If I were any of the guys who's photos were snatched I'd send the guy a nasty e-mail.

KLR '86-'07 Mounts? without Nerf Bars....

Philofax, thanks for the post on your KLR600. That set up looks sweet. I just ordered 4 tubes (for another KLR rider and myself) and looking for Ideas.

I want to mount them underneath the left fender, handing from the frame, opposite the exhaust pipe. I am wondering in the tire will clear it though as I do mostly off-road... I am heading to Mexico in 10 days (heck yeah!) and don't have time to try out different attachements....

Any Ideas? Picts?

Those tubes look shorter than a welding rod holder that some,(including myself) have. See how you like it mounted low, between those hoops of the shroud gaurds. If you're actually going to be storing tools in them, keeping the weight low is best.

Hey Now,

I was able to get 3 of those tool tubes on the KLR. I can take the Pelican cases off without removing the tool tubes as well I have some Brunton 1 liter fuel bottles in the lower two and possibly, tire changing tools in the upper left tube or maybe chain lube and rags.

I had my PVC homemade tube mounted across in front of the engine on my KLR last year on the S half of the GDR. With the stock shocks on the front the front tire frequently hit the tube, never did anything but scuff the paint on the tube, and did no apparent damage to the front end. If you will be in any rugged areas thru some narly shit, I wouldn't mount it cross wise. This year for the N half of the GDR I bought a welding rod tube and mounted it cross wise on the tail end of my homemade rack. Easier to get to if needed and up out of the way.

Hi!

It looks like it's not available at AgriSupply, (IMHO). I had a direct link to the manual canister on AgriSupply's site. My bookmark to it doesn't work either.

Tractor Supply does have them but they are a little bit more money. Check it out here:

Hope this is helpful. Please do let us know if it works, thanks.

I just got the latest AgriSupply catalog in the mail about 3 days ago. The tool tube IS in the catalog. It is listed on page 38 as Item# 67670, "Manual Canister." It even says in the description "Also makes a great tool holder for motorcycles!"

Weird - searching their site with that p/n still yields nothing - must be a site issue.
