I think I talked them into USPS, but can't quite remember. If they use UPS, screw it- not worth it. Still haven't figured how to mount two on my KLR yet, and was thinking of going with a welding rod tube. I coujld be persuaded to sell and ship. Email me.

This thing looks great, so I ordered one.

But then I was thinking ...

- Anyone concerned about having tools stolen?

- Is it wide enough to reach your hand in to get to the bottom?

I ordered two of these also, but now I'm wondering where I can mount them on an 08 KLR650.

How long did it take most of you to recieve your manual tubes?

Any farm implement dealer can get them. Better to pay the gouge to them than UPS.

For you folks in the UK or EU, they are also available from a guy on Ukgser.com but he/they are requiring that you become a subscriber to Ukgser.com first and that costs 12 for a year (see post #131) - the price for a tube is 12 plus p&p of 4 and shipping outside the UK would appear be more.

I think it's of them to require a person pay for a subscription to the site just to buy the tool tube but that's their decision. For BMW owners it's not so bad as it allows you some "member privileges" on Ukgser - privileges that are normally free on most other forums but it's their "show" and they can charge admission if they want .

I just got my JD tractor user manual tube set up today.

]

It sticks out more than I would have liked. I wanted it to tuck it behind the number plate, but I couldn't think of a way to do that without making a more complicated bracket or risking tire rub. As it is, I'm still not completely convinced that the tire won't make contact under full suspension compression.

I plan on painting it the bracket and replacing the regular nuts with acorn nuts. The tool bag is going to be replaced with a Suzuki Europe OEM tailrack that is on its way.

An advantage of this set up is that my helmet lock is still usable.
