It's a Pipe Grounding clamp. It takes paint well and won't budge.

Great...where did you mount it and do you have pictures?

Here is a crappy phone shot.
My wife loaned my camera to one of our neighbors. Isn't she great?

Also ordered one, prolly got the same lady (very nice, southern accent). Gonna try the P clamps as a mount. The shipping cost more than the tube ($12 total).

I ordered 2 of them for 17.00 including shipping and got them in two days...AND the threw in a really cool LED keychain flashlight! Great company to deal with. I mounted one with the 175lb heavy duty zip ties and its on there solid. I use mine for storing my chain lube away from everything else.

Here's the Home Depot tube on my SXC with no luggage rack...
Though I do have a SW-Motech quick release rack now, that fits fine, leaving the tool (welding rod) holder in place.

These fookers should really get into the moto bizness!

My tube arrived today, she had included a little Agrisupply LED flashlight.

11 bucks for tube and shipping, including a flashlight, can't beat that price.

Addition: Oh, I see, others got that flashlight too. And I thought she liked me...
