Just ordered 3 for $23 shipped.
I figure I'll stick one on each bike and then can move my tool roll from tube to tube depending on what I'm riding.

Thanks for the headsup gents!

Placed an order

Placed an order today for 2 tubes to be shipped to Canada. They agreed to ship them by mail so I don't get nicked by UPS taxes and brokerage. They are great to deal with. I haven't completely decided what to use them for yet but am thinking of keeping my travel bike cover in one. This way it's always there, nice and handy.

well, I think the tractor tube is cool, but not enough storage space fer me.
Heres my missile silo:

all in all about 20 bucks in parts, we'll see how it fares over this weekend.

Nice job!! Now all you need is a military looking stencil on the outside warning of snakes inside...

My welding rod tube, which cost me $8, I mounted with long wire ties (several of them) across the back of my temporarily installed floor drain grates rear rack. The thing held up great and the screw on water tight cap never came loose during 3500 miles of rough mountain gravel/dirt/rock/boulder/tree root riding. I keep my tire irons, some wrenches, couple of towels, hand wipes, and patch kit in the tube.

I happened to come across those same clamps!

How are you fastening them onto the tube itself (keeping the screw in there- I tried to get a 1/4" nut in the space but it won't fit)?
