Looking for some pannier racks, I want ones that sit forward, are the Dalby ones the best (and still available?), or what else is recommended? Don't want the SWMotech ones.

Wilmo - I have Dalby moto racks and Andy Strapz bags. They are a really good combination. Give Laurie (at DM) a call on 07 46606666 to enquire.

Uni Filter
Is there any more news on availability of the uni-filters for the 990. Does any one have an opinion on the suitability of these items? They look alright to me

Ill be trying one to see how it stacks up against my current paper/prefilter arrangement. If its good I'll be modifying the airbox to let more in than the snorkel will allow.

well Gee1 I'm sure everyone will have a different opinion to me but my thoughts are that by using a unifilter as well as the std filter isn't the ideal situation. A unifilter has a reasonably dense foam and so offers a certain amount of airflow restriction on top of the flow restriction of the std filter. Another problem I see with the unifilter is that it lowers the air-intake height which can be a problem fording rivers. I actually use a self made sock from fuel tank foam which is very open and has very little restriction, I soak the sock in waterproof filter oil then ziptie it onto the original KTM rear facing snout. In my experience using this method, the original stays cleaner for a lot longer as the dust is trapped in the sock which is open enough that it doesn't any additional restriction to the engine.
