i have seen those mitas things on moist clayish surfaces and i recon they'd be good fire starters

Wicked Tyres

i just bought a new 908 from Tyres 4 bikes so will See how it goes on the SE. But for 100 fatboys more it had better hold up to its rep. Will be removing the Motoz tractionator after 5000 of ks. it's worn well is very noisey grips well in dirt but bloody dangerous in the wet.

if they made an e09 Dakar in a 18/140 I would try that but they only make 17/140. the Dakar is the shit for my AT.

My 2 cents worth while drinking tiger beers at the pool bar in Thailand

Also John, I have found the Michy Desert to perform very well on the rear and is a worthy choice in place of the 908. I dont mind the 606 but seem to be a bit harsh on them and struggle to get home before wearing these out on the long rides..
I like the hp4 on the front but have found them difficult to get of late and have been running the Pirelli Scorpian Rally , these seem to perform and wear very well too.

How much are th Pirelli's worth. Can't seem to find a local supplier.

Aaaahhh Tyres.

I'll always default to the 908 on the rear for long trips but the michy desert has always given me the best grip on both the 990 and SE, and it lasts okay. I run deserts exclusively on the SE now because on a cost per km basis they are fairly equal but they grip better.

I would not touch another tractionator again if doing any tar to get where I want to go. Mine lasted less than 2000kms. For a Simpson etc trip they would be great, less the tar or even birsdville/oodna track bit.

I'm running 606 & 908 and have been happy to date. run two sets of tyres & rims. the other set has scorpions for the road (ish) blasts

Did 2200k the other weekend up to Barrington & Mt Seaview and then back via stockton.

No problems although the last few corners into Gingers Creek on the seal in the rain weren't the best.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"

Out. On the 990 got an extra 1 -2 km a litre with them out. Plus, I reckon with Akros you pay $100 for materials and workmanship and $1700 for sound (+ profit).

so my 990 is a little on the jerky side. Anything less than 4000rpm it no likely.

Constant throttle, no good.

So as much as it's a 2009 model that some in OC said was better, it don't mean shit. So I'm about to do the throttle cams.

Guy at work has done it, who had originally recommended it, hopefully it sorts out. Or I go into this thread and do the next steps. Felt like a bit of a numpty in the work car park as if I was almost bunny hopping with the throttle at constant.

Others here use them?

This bike turns you into a hooligan, maybe I should just shutup & ride it.....

Akras, baffles out, good throttle body synch, prefilter, stock jetting, new hoses and lines (they seem to perish and leak easy), piss all the SAS and EPC off and it runs sweet as a nut and not even a hint of backfiring or popping on the overun
Smoooooooth as and sounds horn!

The orange does grow on you. You will not notice it at first..but it starts with a few innocent KTM stickers,.progresses to a KTM key ring, to KTM coffee mug and next thing you know, you have gone completely mad and start wearing orange tee shirts. It is a very bad infection..is this yeast infection (Bronx)
