Oooooops.

So I had an accident yesterday. I lowsided in some twisties on my way home from work. I went into a corner at the same speed I always do and noticed too late that the middle of the lane was covered in gravel, I attempted to change my line mid-corner but the front end washed out anyway. Minimal damage to the bike and I rode it home after the accident. Minimal damage to me because I wear all the gear. Right after I pulled my leg from under the bike and was standing up a car passed by and did not even stop. I clearly had just wrecked. My bike was on its side in the ditch with coolant running down the road and I was still in all my gear. I figured they had at least called 911 (not that I needed it) but no one showed up. After I determined the bike was ok to ride I had my wife follow me home.

Anyone have a good used radiator for sale? Will need handlebars and bar ends and the dents in the tank pulled.

Needs new rear plastic and that little bracket on the swing arm is bent back. It also sheared off the swing are spool.

I have a set of first gen handlebars off my 2002 Naked. If they'll fit, I'll definitely give you a good deal.

Picked up the last piece of luggage for my 06 SV today, a FirstGear Monza tank bag. It fits in well with my Ogio Saddlebags and Tail bag.

Rounding out my bike, I have a Puig windscreen, Lowered Buell footpegs, a RAM mount for my phone/gps, a 12v outlet on the handlebar, and I shaved down the foam in my seat to take away some of the awful angles.

Next on my list are suspension mods. :)

pulsing light with grips and vest on

So I have Oxfords hotgips and Tourmaster Synergy 2.0 vest with collar. The setup works great, heatwise. However, I noticed that the headlights would flick (pulsate) when both the grips and the vest are turned on ( 2d click on the vest and 70% of the grips). No flickering when either one of them is fully on!

The flickering is basically a pulse, every few seconds. It is noticeable only at night with no streetlights ( cruising at 75mph, rpm well above 4500). I rode it like that for a few hours, because it was really chilly and no seeming battery issues so far.

Did anyone notice anything similar?

I am wondering if I am overtaxing my charging system, or its just the vest controller surge .

It is as you suspected a surge from your heated clothing's PWM controller. Mine does the same. The pulse width modulation-style controller cycles the power off and on.
Mine's been that way for years now with no ill effect. The SVs charging/capacity is really feeble if you start to farkle it like a larger market focused sport-tourer.
I actually am thinking of going to HID mains, not because of the increased lumens, but because it draws less juice and I am counting each watt!

I have a red '07 naked. Has anyone found any mirrors (other than bar ends) that allow you to see more than just your shoulders? Love the bike, LOVE the engine, just would like to see behind me more easily.
