The Preverbial Water Crossing!!! Yes this one!!

Here is where everyone has wiped out over the years. It looks so easy but man is this place slick. You can't even walk on this slick rock. This is in South West TN.

Tat East

Ok, now I am ready to ride! :)

I will put together a proposed schedule and you guys pick the dates. I will post what we did last time later tonight. On that trip we camped out at State Parks three nights along the trail.

Tat

Those are some beautiful photos.

Would it be a problem for me to come along and stay in motels?

Mid October would be best for me.

Moteling the TAT

Sure! There are motels right close to each camping location. You guys need to order the TAT maps and give them a review.

I've got the TAT maps. I'll take a look. I'm really looking forward to this!

Ural's on the Tat

First thing I noticed on the TAT maps was the gas stops are kinda far for a Ural. I think we can cope with that by bringing extra gas and I know there are more gas stations than are indicated on the maps.

Second thing is that I would like to slow down some and take photos and enjoy the trip. Last time on the TAT we had to make 200-250 miles per day and there was no time to enjoy the trip. I would rather find camping spots around the 180 mile mark for each day. That's still a lot of gravel to cover in a day.

Second day was mostly paved roads.

Third day was mostly gravel.

Forth day was all gravel.

Next: Question, are any of you planning to bring along your wife or another passenger? I am trying to get my wife to ride her Pegaso along with us.

Perfect. This will be my first trip on the Ural. So far, I've been staying fairly close to home as I get used to it.
