DR750 & DR800 owners thread

Mine was on just under 44000km when I bought him. I've only put on 500km on him when the trouble started. Could be 140000km I guess, but the motor is in too good a condition for that. It doesn't look like a bike that was ridden for more than 100000km.

At the moment he's going nowhere. Waiting on the tanks...

Regards to comment made about original and accessory screens the stocker is brilliant no buffeting and good protection up to 150kph or if you tucked under at race track 175kph, I'm guessing as commented any changes would be for the worse

My Dr is a Baby with only 35000ks on it so it sounds like its going to last for a while yet from you guys comments

1993 ZXR400.

Taking the DR on track is something I'd only ever do on a cheap winter trackday because I'm wierd/silly enough to think it would be a laugh. On a summer trackday I'd never pass up riding the ZXR because it's such a good tool for the job.

I use the ZXR on track and road and it's about right for both - I don't find myself wanting a bigger sports bike. Even 60bhp is enough to get to speeds where you could be banned or jailed over here, so it's plenty for the road, and it's pretty satisfying on the track when you can keep up with/pass bigger bikes - same as the DR for you I guess.

Since I didnt want to wreck my DR which is now my No 1 road tourer as Harley is being sold ( Im to young for it and the DR is better)
Now all I have to do is learn how to ride it, knee out and that kind of stuff

Buy low K one from wrecker or steel England 2's, at 4156ks its barely run in

Dont do it England 2.... they are all being too greedy now... they threatened to take mine the other day aswell, on the way to track day ! .... and mine has 79000Km on it !!

Is any DR safe these days ???

Having said that.... Two DR's ????? Dont you believe in too much of a good thing ? I'm in heaven when I ride my ONE DR, let alone having the choice of two !!.... Sorry England 2, I'm with Ed and 800 afterall ... send me your address too pls mate
