That's mine, before the big change.
One day I'm going to fit the 750 look to it... (like Hessler bikes)

Have you got any idea how do do that when tank mounting points are different? I want to transfer my 750 tank and headlight to the 800...
By the way my 800 is exactly the same as bluesman's.

Our colleague - Russian DR owner are in process of finishing DR750 parts installation onto 800. Tank and all plastics. I will ask him for details.
I guess for mounting points best is to simply weld mounts to 800 frame...but we'll see what he says.

It WAS a big change alright!

I might be slightly biased but I also like the 750 look - also the SR42 800. Looks just a little different and more appealing.

I think just about everybody likes 750 looks more

But from practical point of view - I will leave my 800 stock look unless I will decide to splash out and build really something like Marlboro DR replica...no point thou

I know a guy here that did it a few years ago (it was a project for a rich high tech guy...) when you'r not afried to cut and weld it's not that difficult.
If i'll do it i will replace the rear frame to aluminum. again same as Stefan Hessler.
I will uoload pix of that 800 that was change to 750 soon. (need to find the magazine...)

Sorry to hear that. How is the situation in your country overall. You have many people losing jobs?

I know many people, that has lost their jobs already, but still, the overall mood is good. And some have a new job already.

As for the future bike

Seems that the overall opinion is the same that mine has been for a couple of years. The coolest adv bike is Lc8 Adventure. I really have to try it out, but I still have a lot of time to do it. AND the Big has to serve till the pension, it would be unfair to me BIG to leave her for a rest too soon

As for the Multistrada, I agree with Bluesman, It's a FABULOUS!!!! bike, actually I think It's maybe THE best bike I have ridden but I hope the LC8 to be even better. I forgot to mention that MY bike needs to have a 21" frontwheel and the offroad attitude with it. I don't offroad much but the main thing is that I DO. For example riding on the snow would be ... let's say funny with Multistrada. I ride on the snow only 100 km a year but I don't want to lose the opportunity.

Beemer... I have to try that one too. Bluesman, what did you mean by the Gs 800 being from a different class than the Lc8.

As for the interesting suggestions.
Ray mentioned some Aprilia (was it) I have to check that one out.
So far there has been no new names... Like the Tiger.
Seems that the top is for the few.
