I was on my 800 and there was also a Tuono and a 900 Ninja. The road was so technical that fast bikes had to hold back. I followed them flat out and rode just as fast as they did. (My rear end wobbled couple of times though).

I'm trying to get all my mates to buy adventure bikes now as in NZ our roads are getting chopped up all over the place and road works are common place so the upright position and bike design can actually make for safer riding and to be honest your ultimate road speeds are not much slower than dedicated road bikes especially in a country with highly regulated speed restrictions


PS, For now though I still will keep my Tuono for those crazy canyon rides with the mad hatters and of course the track days, but generally it stays in the garage conserving its million dollar gum like tires and my license

Does anybody have any '88 DR750 indicators they would like to sell. I need 1 front right and 1 rear left. Though I don't think there is any difference. Also need a tail light lens.
Any help would be appreciated.

Gidday Shannon, yep you have first bid, but might be a bit more than what you sold to it to me, looking for the centre stand shortly if we can make arangements to meet or better still maybe post might be the better option.
Have you been to the ride park out this way yet as we could meet at Ilford or youcan call in and check out the bigs and others.
I have spent the same amount on it so far as to what you sold it to me, so it might be good for another 20 years.

Hey there Big owners. Miss me? I do miss my BIG every day. Brilliant commuter she was although dodgy brakes made a few eyes go big.

I'm still happy with the yellow piggie - also a great bike with stolen lines (from the BIGs of course )

Keep up the banter, I still look in to see what's what and how far Robmoto is with his work (gotta watch him otherwise he slacks off) and how far 800 now wheelies his Tuno of takes his BIG to bully some poor bike on the beach. A real meanie that blue BIG.

Mate if it looks as good as the pics I'd be happy to open the wallet !! Mate I did end up going but the weekend went bad when my son blew my motor up by holding it in second in a foot of mud for near on an hour around a track!! $3000 damage. Let me know what you want to do about the centre stand as I just forgot to take it with me on the trip. I'll give you a call during the week as my home number is out due to renovations and I am in demolition now so have a new number. Cheers Do you think you will sell it once done or enjoy it for a while once done? Check out my R6 on ebay I'm selling and the blown up KLX.. May be funds for a DR 750 left over in australia...
