Hi All,
Proud owner of a '93 DR800. I've drooled over this bike since I was a little kid and my dad brought home a Suzuki brochure. Spotted one online for a decent price and had to have it! I bought it from the 1st owner, he's owned it from new and has really spent some money on the bike. He now regrets selling the bike, he bought a new BMW and a few months later he said he wished he'd never sold it... It's had the head flowed, stage 1 crankshart, K&N airfilter, Laser Produro open exhaust (with custom baffle), custom welded toolbox below bashplate, heated grips. Net result: 62bhp. I love this bike, of all the bikes I own it's the most fun. My Tiger is better for road & long distances, but for slamming through corners, nothing beats my DR. Will put up some pictures when I'm back on my other PC... Don't think I'll ever sell this bike, I'm getting the frame powdercoated, probably next year... JB

what 30kg less will make you do
if you have a dr800 and you think off selling and buying a new xt660z...save your money and upgrade your BIG!!!
he's much much better and you will have a lot of fun on the process. |

Buggles, Welcome, will list you on post 1, 62hp is a nice helthy amount but I think the non owners wont realize how much torque comes with that, these bikes really pull from low down on the road I often only use part thottle even when passing
Nave, dont think my DR can jump like that, but it can do this as per attachment from post 30 Got it on the rev limiter at one stage ( aprox 8500rpm ) which is easy to do on the beach and especially with loud pipes which free up the engine a bit. Manos, your NX project sounds interesting I have 1 with a 10.25/1 piston fitted and it goes a lot better than standard my worker who rides it is always doing wheelies on it now bluesman, turbo you say, hmm, also this is from a web link you posted earlier as molgan wants more pic's, some of you may be able to relate to this, DR Bigs reguire that you look before you leap cause near 200 kg is hard to move when its like this

Nothing much going on here, so I'll just post a pic of my DR that I now have restored back to (almost) its original shape:

Hi Nave just loading specs for easy viewing
You should drive this part. Then the BIG is like a KTM ... what a differnt to the original. After a discussion it will fit for exhaust and filter. complete kit with two carbs
