quick question

Guys, I was wondering.. did anyone fitted a low oil pressure switch replacing the main oil gallery plug? if you did, do you have a brand/part number? I cant find a small 14x1.25 oil pressure switch that activates at about 11-12 psi..

TNX!

Now 10 deceased 52 missing I have been glued to the TV, very sad and tragic event indeed, not religous but praying anyway. .
My thoughts are with the families and freinds of loved ones.

Working on the filter...

Yesterday it was the turn of that cumbersome, restrictive airbox to get off my bike. I'm going for an "easy in / easy out" solution; that is, an unrestrictive airfilter and a totally open exhaust. That being said, I had to come up with an airfilter that would fit my needs. I used this type of thin foam as an airfilter on my other Supermoto KLR, so it should do just fine here, too. Had to come up with smth that would fit the air intake collector on the carbs, and it so happened that an old empty powder-milk can (of which I have about a zillion in my garage - I've got a 2 year old son) has EXACTLY the right diameter, when I turned it oval.
I've glued the foam into a cylinder so as to fit tightly around the can and I've cut some openings into the can, so that the engine can finally BREATHE!
But no more small talk, I'll let the pictures do the rest.
Oh, I'll be finishing it later on today, probably in the evening. I'll be back with pictures, wether you like it or not!

I still have to cut the foam to size and fit a foam "lid" on the foam "cyllinder", and then slide it onto the can and.... VOILA!

Tank need of perforation, or foam will suck the inside. We need more foam layers. No protection from water and rain.Better that mounted on top, as is done in DR800

The can IS already perforated, + it has no lid, and the foam will sit on the outside of it, so it cannot be sucked in. Damp/rain/water protection will be a fine layer of sprayable ol' WD40 on the outside of the foam (been there, done that, works like a charm).

Next!
