I mostly don't offroad. I just drive to fields behind my house and trying.
I did 2 rides with Dutch DR Big club as "initiation" but after learning where we actually do it and what it implications it can have on me I stopped.
I am foreigner here and do not want troubles with police.
Me and my friends are planning to do big trip crossing all unpaved mountain passes italy-france-switzerland-austria we managed to find - ones where you allowed to ride vehicle. Also one day I have to make it to Sardinia for offroad (onroad there was this year) - excellent place to do it legally.

I would gladly drive there even if not on my way.
I planned this year, but DR broke down on Sardinia...

AusiBatla and Rob, nice one on the links i will get onto these lads.
Bluesman, really dig the '1800 DR' scheme lol, pretty damn cool.
Resi, you menion the Gluf scheme! Do you have a pic of a gulf dr big?!
I really lov e this colour and plan to do it on my next project (gsx1100) but not a gloss, at most a satin finish.

While were on the topic of paint, here after many changes, is the final proof of my decals (with some minor changes outlined) from Imageworks.

Should be winging its way to me shortly. Been swatting up with online tutorials on laying decals and practising.

Thinking of buying Mister Hessler brake upgrade kit but my timing is highly unfortunate....
I have a brand new unused EBC disc and freshly rebuilt oem caliper with OEM Suzuki dust and oil seals and pads going cheap if anyone is interested....

I had some queries but Mr Hessler informs me the caliper is not a refurbished item but new, and that seals are available and a HH sintered pad from ferrodo if not ebc (ebc hh being my pad of choice).
I dont know what caliper manuafacturer it is, looks very very similar to grimeca but no seemingly...? Lucas?

Rob, if you plan to run it without any airbox - this is not good idea, believe me. It's quite subtle and unstable problem, but you will see it. You need to make ANY kind of "box" around filter, even if not perfectly sealed.
Most likely problem will raise it's head at high speeds, not at low-mid speed. And any big-bore 1-2 cyl. engines are VERY sensitive to it.
As for bracket - beatifully made and great looking. But mount part - I recommend to test it with engine running for vibrations. From looks of it you may face really big amplitude vibes/movement of dashboard because it sits on long "console" mounts (those aluminium pipes) with grommets at bottom. May be simple reverse - grommets at top under dashboard - would be better?

Electric issue help!

looking savage Rob, your moving along fast now! The mount looks pukka to so the least and very squared away. Was the Vepor mount laser cut?

Looking for advice on this please........
I decided to check to see if the bike will turn over on the starter motor (tanks are off the bike so no go juice) and heres whats happening....

Sidestand up
In neutral
Ign on
Pull and release deco lever
Pull in clutch
Hit start button and get just one click from the starter solenoid. And If i hit the start button again with the clutch still in i get nothing but if i pull in the deco lever agin i get another click when i hit the start button.
Meanwhile the neutral light is shutting off in unison with hitting the start button....

Ive checked the following....
Battery is new and full strength
Main 15a fuse is good
Swapped the solenoid
Swapped the deco electricial gizmo
Ive RTFM and am not too wiser.

Id say ive done something very thicko like got the wrong eart/starter motor ring terminal confused or something else special.
Advice appreciated lads.
