Hellicks Hellmet theres no breaking that adaptor, tough stuff, hows it handle now.
What I have noticed though is your rear rack your grab handles are at about 30 degrease, where as my bikes the handles are level and between the bolt holes .
what year is your bike manufactured, as I have never noticed this before.

Thanks Rob, front brake is 60% better, still have to replace the brake line with a reinforced one, it's gonna make a heck of a difference.
Rear rack is a transplant from a DR650 I've dismantled... Catch u later, gotta go out / my kid.

Now you will need new forks :)

At motorway speeds good brake on DR in hard braking makes scary experience with forks twisting....

Which is exactly why I've ordered a fork brace (I've got a guy here that makes just about anything, including CNC) at about 60 EUR. Just have to make up a good excuse to the wife...

If you think of one - share it here - because we all need LOADS of excuses I think

Yep, fork brace will cure a lot of that twist indeed!
I went "long route" and parted with a bit more cash than I wanted to spend and got myself WP Extremes + 2 supermoto wheels in a "bulk purchase" - I must admit, relatively cheap. But it pulled shedloads of work - thou I am happy with result...

Safety....easy one.

Golly dear, that new brake that will let me stop so much better has created a weak link in the forks. It's just not "safe" to keep the old forks in the bike.

Remember, you're not spending money to go faster. You're spending money to stop quicker.......easy to justify.

Robmoto sent me this ad of a '88 DR750 for sale in Victoria. It confirms what we've all known for years.

Cheers.

Good grief.... I think he might be dreaming

FWIW I sorted out another speedo, Pulled a spare 350 one apart and it went straight in to the standard housing..... I've spent most of my life working on farms, so have learnt a thing or 2 about "bodging shit up"
I'd still like an original unit if anyone has one lying around, 'cause the 350 one looks a bit crap.... but the Bigs only got 12000 k's on the clock now
