No Andy, you bought my other caliper kit, one from Gilera, it was not Brembo sliding 2pot, it was 4 pot Grimeca with tricky adapter I made.
I distinctly remember shipping Brembo from Husaberg and GSXR master cylinder to I think Estonia...damn...who was it then...

Actually...looking at Mait's setup...
All you need to bolt Brembo with 300 mm disk onto WPs is KTM mount as caliper is very much same.

After I got Tiger 800 I eventually did sell both of my other bikes :( DR and VTR.
Just felt sorry for keeping them standstill in garage for so long (well - DR being broken). My VTR hardly been ridden for a year or more. So I understand how it feels like.

It's a cycle...Duh....no I mean a cyclical turn of events

When my son was little, my motorcycle riding fell way off. I even sold my dirt and enduro bikes. Kept my GS750 and R50/2 BMW due to sentimental reasons and would start and ride them every few months with annual oil changes.

I became heavily involved in bicycling.

When Chris final got into secondary school, a SRX600 Yamaha came up on the local listings for almost nothing. I always loved that bike and bought it.

Over all it was too small for me but led me back to various small roads that I loved. Then a brother fireman was selling his Transalp. ..... Interesting bike I thought. I was fortunate enough to be able to ride it for an entire day and I spent the whole day just laughing out loud inside my helmet......

I bough the Transalp that afternoon, started reading Dakar stories, rode it in the dirt and am at the point now that my son has one two (both with Africa Twin tanks, bodywork and updated suspension) and I also now have the SR41 and one SR43.

Now I'm balancing my riding between motorized and human powered.

OK...I'm getting to the point...really....

Don't feel badly about not riding something for a while. Sometimes you just need a bit of a break. When you come back to it, you'll feel renewed but the bike will be an old friend.

If you sell the DR, you'll never be able to do this. It's much cheaper to keep it. There may be a day when the cruiser is down for maintenance and you need to run to get a part or something and it will all come flooding back

Just make sure to put some good stuff in the tank so it runs well the next time you start it.

Miguel,

Many thanks for the postings on the Merlin. I've heard the name but never saw photos before.

Your English is a quantum leap beyond my Spanish so don't worry about that.

We'll post a "HUH ?? " message if anything you post doesn't make sense due to grammer, syntax, slang or anything else.

OK Ladder106, thanks... is difficult for me write in english, but I hope you can understand me. My real problem is the f'ed translator, I'm confused with his translations. I want write with my (little) vocabulary and if you say me "hey, this thing isn't correct" I say you only "thank you"

Thanks for you welcome and, of course, if you have any question about spanish or european bikes... perhaps I can answer you.

if there is an adaptor is nedful, its depend on the kind of fork
the motocross forks (husa too) are made for 260mm disc
the adventure fork ( food) is made for a 300mm disc...

all these all wp extreme forks.
