Funny.

I took the old road from LaGrande over to Pendleton. You got one of those houses on the way down Emigrant Hill Road into Pendleton?

No, I wish I did, I live in the valley out in the small town of Helix, but my family has a small piece of land at the bottom of Cabbage hill on the south side of the freeway, and my sister lives at Poverty flats, so I spend a lot of time up and down the old highway.

The road needs a litte repair, but it is still one of the funnest around

Next time your in the area, PM me, maybe we can meet up, and ADVriders are always welcome to stay at my place as a stop over.

Take care!!

You are a lot more Adventurous than I am. I guess I am just lazy.

OK, maybe not completely lazy.

Fs 6830

A view from FS 6830 south of Skykomish, WA. 6830 takes you to Tonga Ridge trailhead spur road also.

View is looking north across Hwy 2 at Mt Fernow. Captain Point (5700ft) is to the right of center with the logging road going to the top. Unfortunately it is reported that there is a gate on FS 6710 at 3000ft. Would be a nice destination.
