The death of summer. Moonlit pic at Marmot Pass very early Sunday morning. It seems like every time I leave the tent body at home and just take the fly and foot print I end up getting snowed on.

Since I fly up here and back I don't get to bring the motorcycle too often. I keep a bicycle here to keep up the appearance of being healthy.

This past Sunday I got out for little ride up the Centennial Trail Snohomish.

That's probably spelled wrong but it has been a long day,

Two shots from the ride. I was cold and tired. Sky turned flat.

In places the leaves obscured the path to a depth of a few inches. They were a little slick if I'd been unwise enough to attempt any quick moves. Fortunately my state of fitness precluded any such nonsense.

And a bug, I was cold and surprised to see anything like this wandering around.

I do really enjoy my time in this place. I've known people who moved here to work and left after a year complaining of the weather and rain, and such. I guess the green will eventually get to me and I'll begin yearning for gray, and brown, but for now I'm really digging the color show.

I grew up in Colorado so got used to golds and reds in the fall,

IT was cold and overcast this morning here in Mukilteo, but then cleared so I went bicycle riding. I got cold after an hour so stopped. No pictures because it is boring. I had my cameras along, I just was busy moving to stay warm.
Then I did my laundry and cleaned up. Got in the rental car and headed off to the book store. Saw some nimrod ride by on a motorcycle wearing shorts!
Made me colder. I turned up the heater in the car.

Next trip is after turkey day. Should be really cold by then unless this global warming thing is for real. At any rate I figure I'm safe leaving the sunscreen at home.

Had to ride up to see some fallen tree's.
No tree's over the road from last night's
wind storm. So all I could do was take a
pic of Edison, out here some where.

That long straight stretch is Chuckanut Dr.

Metolious River

I took the 42 year old Trail 90 out for a morning ride Monday. Lake Billy Chinook, along the Metolious River to the end of the road. Stopped by the balancing rocks.
