National Ride to Work Day!
Tomorrow, Wednesday July 16th is national Ride to Work day!
In order to promote riding as a social good...green...economical...and fun...Andy Goldfine started National Ride to Work Day some years ago. www.ridetowork.org I'm going to make it happen, tho it will take some doing cuz of my job...but for one day, it's fine. Help to relieve/circumvent traffic congestion...ride to work! Hope to see you guys out there. Abe |

I ride to work 99% of the time already. It will just be another day commuting to work for me. Hell I cannot afford not to!

love to!
I ride to work every day anyway. My engine for the cage is being rebuilt and I leave my tool van onsite for mobile office. 10 miles oneway with 8 of it dirt rode to the cabin. Some days I even get to ride up the mountain to look for trees to build furniture for the client. Woo Hoo

its just another day for me, to ride.
For some its not feasable to ride to work, for me it is. parking lot is crowded with american iron, I just smile, knowing in a few months I have the lot all to myself....

I made a point to ride today.
![]() Wish I could ride every day but I get a lot of last minute requests and haul equipment so it's not practical. I set up an extra mountain bike to leave at the studio so I can go to the bank, post office and run local errands by bike.

I can honestly say that the entire staff rode motorcycles to work Wed. That is 100% participation.
OK I am the only one here and I rode almost everyday.

I saw more bikes on the road and more in the parking deck near my office than ever ....Its nice to see Harleys, Ducatis, BMWs and Yamahas sharing spots in the deck...
Good idea ! My goal has been to ride to work every day this week....Only Friday to go ! Not only do I save $...Its fun !

I rode my Yamaha in (as usual) and noticed a bunch of bikes behind a barricade and yellow tape. I recognized about half of them as "regulars" in the parking deck. I parked in a different lot and then realized it was Ride to Work Day.
All in all there were about ten bikes all snuggled together. The weird thing was that they were parked one to a space. I thought it was a missed opportunity to demonstrate that dedicated bike parking may increase available parking for cars. I wrote a little more about it on my blog, and took a snap.
