On the bike, was planning on making it. Then realized we have a free "cookout" at work today. So long lines, crummy food, socializing with people that I don't really know / like or meeting up with you guys.

Not that I disagree with that stmt but I have to make the comment that you must enjoy riding leaned over and still going straight. It was a bit breezy this morning!

Doubt I'll make it to lunch- unless I end up dragging work related people along. Got some meetings that are rearranging my priorities. You know I'd rather ride to GP and eat with gearheads.

No GP today. I'll be spending my lunch limping the DR to the shop. Rear shock was spitting fluids this am on my way to work. I think the piston seal blew. Proabably down for at least a few weeks. Have to send the shock back. Have it repaired/replaced. Then re-installed. I'm letting the shop do it this time.

Ya'll have a great lunch. See you when I'm back on the road.

Yes it was quite breezy out there on 540...but my bike is a heavyweight so those gusty winds had little effect on it. Lunch with you all was great... Glad I made it. Now I wont be worrying 'bout that performance award I got down in Smithfield.

No more CBR, and most of my left side.

Lesson learned, yet again, on a bike throttle, NOT brake would have been the right answer.

Will eventually post up what happened, but the other lesson, Joe Rocket's textile jacket SUCKS.

Edit: that's my shoulder, not anything else.

Dang it man!!!! I'm sorry to hear that but I'm very glad you made it out alive!!! Please do share what happened when you are able so that we might learn from your experience. I hope you heal quickly and without any complications. You have my prayers :)

Damn it Chris I think you need 4 wheels for a while or maybe a chauffer...I'm not working I can drive you around. Sorry to hear of this ongoing string of less than stellar luck. Hope ya heal up quick
