New bikes.
Wow.. lots of new bikes around today. It was kinda like dogs going to mark each new one. I didn't get a pick of the XR but I did get a few spy photos. The XR however was WAY TO CLEAN! Here is a bike that should be expected to be seen in tags. The owner has given out plenty of them before. It hasn't gotten one yet however. (catch my clue). What bike is it? Who is sharp out there. ![]() And then Here I am with ICU type of photo of "ICU" Who is sharp enough to ID his bike as well. We will have to get him into taggin some as well. ![]() Nice rides all three of you!!!! Glad to have the biannual visit of XKLr_John, Flash has some nice new shoes for his baby, Kat did ride his new to him clean XR Chainslap was there as well as me And then new to the group ICU. Riding lessons discussed: Don't rapidly overtake unmarked patrol cars, don't barrel down unknown dirt roads, don't always assume two wheels can out do four on back country roads. don't try to sell bikes in the winter, good places to go really fast. Not present and seriously talked about and trashed were......... well you have to come to hear that or defend yourself GRIN Cya next week NCS

Was that red bike rider James on a VFR? Sorry I missed lunch today...guess thats why so many of you showed up
Last nights storm was alot of winds and the property was a big mess of fallen branches ,leaves and lots of pine needles...what y'all call pine straw Managed to get a good sweat and most of the head cold symptoms are much reduced...Got my new tars for the ST but need to get them mounted soon. I'd be interested in a weekend ADV lunch run RTE type thing....

I believe what Steve means is that the red bike is James new bike but it's an Aprilia not VFR.

Hate that I've missed the recent weeks myself. I just returned from a duck hunting trip at Knotts Island. Hopefully work schedule will allow next week. A few projects have been catching some traction and eating up some of the fun time on my calendar....not at all a bad thing but I'm due for my 2 wheel fix and some Gracious Plenty grub. |

NCStephen, you had to have the mirror in the way? You didn't get the full glory of bike...probably just as well...the awesomeness emanating from that bike would have probably overloaded a circuit in the camera.
![]() It was great having lunch with you guys!

Probably so. I just had a moment to turn the camera and hoped it caught the glory and like an eclipse, (the sun, not the car) it only caught the glory of the corona. NCS

It was great to have so many show up for lunch yesterday, its always a good time regardless but its like most things; the more the merrier
Stephen, you are right there were some very nice rides there yesterday!! I wish I coulda hit the freeway with the rest of you but I had to go the opposite direction. That was the longest ride on the XR so far, and it wound up being bout 150 miles total yesterday, ending at 21:00 headed home from work and it was COLD Some of you need to come defend yourselves before the tales get any taller!! It was nice meeting you John, and ICU and good to see everyone else. Be safe and have a good week or whats left of it, if any of you are up my way towards Roxboro, give me a holler.....its sooooo isolated in the stix

as we were leaving, it was said.. lets do a ride.. NCS when are you going on a ride again?.. plan one out.. could it be on a weekend? I said for sure MLK day in January. Thats the plans at this point. Things left very open, over night or day. where, etc all to be talked about. All that said, I have had good rides the last two MLK days. One up to Hanging Rock by myself ran into some snow showers and the lake there was way frozen over. Still a very nice day ride. Last year 4 of us ADVers rode up to Meadows of Dan and Floyd and had a great day. Even with snow all over the mountains, the main roads were nice and clear. So there are lots of possibilities. write up for that one is at: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=546765 NCS
