No idea! Was already there when I bought it.

The tool tube was also installed by the previous owner. Seems like a any cylindrical tube with a screw-able cap held by a metal bracket and a clamp, may also have been made by the PO. I am not sure how it looks like stock.

This rear fender bag is also very helpful... useful for some documents on the clear top.

Enough space inside for some tools, my air compressor ($10 from wally world) and a water bottle...

The tool tube is humongous.

Greate pic TD, love the location with the water flowing. Was it still raining or is it just foggy?

Cool.

Which year is that? Is the speedo stock or from a DRZ400?

"Popped my first wheelie with the DR-Z250 today."
Haha congrats mate! I day dreamed of popping one today :p

"Which year is that? Is the speedo stock or from a DRZ400?"

Its from 2002 and I think everything on it is stock.

Ive got a question for you...My motorcycling journey is still very much in it infancy, so I am learning everyday, already picked up quite a few things on this thread...the bike though, stopped working just after 2 days I got it. >:(
What could be the reason? Its buzzing like the bumble bee on wheels it is LOL

Would it be a dead battery?

I had the same problem. These three things helped me.

1. Charge your battery fully
2. Make sure the connections to the battery are clean and tight
3. If this doesn't work, then try the changing starter solenoid

Ya and what turnenem said, try kick starting it.

Speedo....I think the US models don't have that speedo on the 2002

Just noticed, does the odometer reading say 22619? Even if it is KMs it is still impressive.

Wheelie?

I tried and have not been successful till date. One of the reasons I bought a smaller bike was to practice wheelies and the DRZ250 is not an easy beast to practice wheelie-ing. I know my skill level does not help either

What sprockets do you use?

Ask somebody to capture these rare moments and post up pics or video.

I get only a few hits on Youtube when I search for DRZ wheelies

I'm using the stock gearing. Was doing some "balance" exercise. Riding at low speed (1st gear) while standing. Hit the brakes and come to a stop, while stopped I try to stay in that position as long as I can, then I hit the throttle and release the clutch. Front wheel coming off was more a side effect. But when I noticed it lifted up and was a bit more generous on the throttle and the front end really went up. It's raining and the grass is really slippery but when everything gets nice outside I'll definitely take a vid.
